In such a situation, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has declared the deaths due to snakebites as a state disaster. That is, now, if someone dies after being bitten by a snake, then the family of the deceased will get financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh. But the question arises: what will the victim's family have to do to get the compensation amount?

This time in Gorakhpur district, there have been about 10 deaths due to snakebites during the rainy season. Regarding the compensation for death due to snake bite, Dr. Ashutosh Dubey, CMO, Gorakhpur, said in a conversation with the farmer that the postmortem report of the victim is most important to get compensation. Based on that, the victim's family gets help money. In such a situation, the relatives should get the postmortem done of the victim immediately after the death. He said that to get the compensation amount, and the family members must do only two things. After that, the entire action is taken by the administration. The first task is that if someone has died due to snakebite, his relatives should immediately inform the Lekhpal.

On the other hand, the second task is to take the victim for postmortem and give its report to the accountant, in which snakebite has confirmed the death. After that, the Lekhpal, Kanungo, Tehsildar, and ADM report to the District Magistrate.

  Dr. Ashutosh Dubey further says that Lekhpal collects documents like account numbers, Aadhaar cards, etc., of the victim's family on the spot and takes the action forward. After getting permission from SDM, ADM finance comes near, and money from the disaster relief fund of the district is immediately sent to the account of the victim's family, Rs 4 lakh.

Farmer dies due to snake bite in Agra.

On Monday, a farmer died of a snake bite during irrigation in Sarsa village of Kirawali tehsil of Agra. Police said the farmer, identified as Randhir (38), was bitten by a snake and died on the spot. On Tuesday, Kirawali police station in-charge Upendra Kumar said that the police had sent the dead body for postmortem.
