Happy Engineers Day 2021: Today, i.e., 15 September, is celebrated as Engineer's Day all over the world. Let us tell you that on this day, India's great engineer and Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya (M. Visvesvaraya) were born. M Visvesvaraya is considered one of the great engineers of India, and he is deemed to have contributed a lot to making modern India.

It is noteworthy that M. Visvesvaraya's birthday was on 15 September 1860 in Mysore (Karnataka). He has built many dams under his direction. Among these, Krishnaraj Sagar in Mysore, Khadakwasla Reservoir Dam in Pune, and Tigra Dam in Gwalior are extraordinary. Apart from this, he also gets the credit for the design of Hyderabad city. he had developed the flood protection system in the country. Along with this, he had also made a particular plan for the security of Visakhapatnam Port. He is also considered the father of Karnataka.

In collaboration with the Mysore government, he built the buildings of the Soap Factory, Mysore Iron and Steel Factory, State Bank of Mysore, Mysore Chambers of Commerce, and Visvesvaraya College of Engineering.
