Shopping malls will be built along with Amausi and Charbagh bus stands. Along the lines of the Alambagh bus stand, these bus stands will also be developed on the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. The proposal prepared by the Transport Department was also approved in the cabinet meeting of the state government on Tuesday. The foundation stone will soon be laid to develop the already selected Gomtinagar bus stand.
RK Tripathi, Regional Manager of Lucknow Zone of Transport Corporation, said that a proposal has been made to develop the Charbagh and Amausi bus station on the lines of the Alambagh bus stand. Under this, a bus stand will be built below these two bus stations, and there will be facilities for a shopping mall, cinema, underground parking, shops, and food court above.
AC waiting areas will be built for passengers to sit and platforms for buses. There is currently a workshop for repairing buses at the place where the bus station will be made in Amausi. After the construction of the bus station, buses from Kanpur, Agra, Jhansi, Orai, Delhi, Prayagraj and Purvanchal will run from here.
Currently, buses run from Charbagh to a distance of 100 km. These include buses from Sultanpur, Fatehpur Maurana etc. The plan to develop the Gomtinagar bus station on the PPP model has already been passed. For this, the company has also been selected through tender.
In Amausi and Charbagh, a bus stand will be built below, and a shopping mall will be built above. Along with the shopping mall, passengers will get other facilities, including a multiplex cinema, food court, and underground parking.
