Hyundai Creta EV: Latest Updates and Expectations

Yes, some changes have been noticed in the interior of the Hyundai Creta EV based on the leaked images. One such change is the presence of a new 2-spoke steering wheel along with a gear selector dial behind the steering wheel. This setup is aimed at enhancing the user experience with new technology integration. Besides this, we'll have to wait for more details to learn about other features and design aspects of the Creta EV.

Hyundai has launched the facelifted Creta and its N Line variant SUV this year. Meanwhile, towards the end of the year, another variant of the Creta, its electric version, is expected to be introduced. Let's find out what new details have emerged about the upcoming Creta EV.

Production is to Begin by the End of the Year
Hyundai has confirmed its preparation to commence production of the Creta EV by the end of this year. The launch is anticipated in the first half of 2025, with an expected price range between ₹20 lakh to ₹28 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Once launched, it will compete with upcoming EVs like the Tata Curv EV, Honda Elevate EV, and other EV products.

Hyundai Creta EV Design
The exterior design of the Creta EV will closely resemble that of the ICE Creta. From spy images, its design appears similar to the N-Line variant. We expect Hyundai to present some minor changes such as new bumpers, EV badging, and aerodynamic alloy wheels. Hyundai may also offer various colour options for the Creta EV.

Specifications
The Creta EV is expected to feature a battery pack of around 45 kWh, providing an estimated real-world range of approximately 250-300 kilometres. It's anticipated to have similar motor specs to the globally sold Kona EV, capable of generating 135bhp power and 255Nm torque. We can expect similar performance from the Creta EV. Like the Kona EV, we might see a charging socket on the grille.

Interior and Features
The interior of the Creta EV has been spotted several times. In one spy image, it was seen with a new 2-spoke steering wheel along with a gear selector dial behind it. The rest of the dashboard hasn't been revealed without its cover. However, it's expected to resemble the regular Creta. Hyundai might introduce new features such as a head-up display and an electric tailgate. Additionally, it may come with a large infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and a 360-degree camera.
