Soya Chilli Manchurian Recipe: You might have eaten chilli paneer or chilli chicken, but have you ever tried soya chilli Manchurian? Yes, in this soya chunks recipe, soya chunks have been cooked in Indo-Chinese style. The sauce is made Manchurian style and tossed with chilli, hence the name Soya Chilli Manchurian. Celebrity chef Pankaj Bhadauria has shared this particular recipe on his official Instagram account. He has prepared this tasty recipe by cooking desi soya in Chinese style. Soya Chilli Manchurian
Ingredients
- 2 cups soya chunks
- 4 cups water
- one teaspoon sugar
- 1-inch ginger, chopped
- one tablespoon soy sauce
- one fresh green chilli, cut in half
- one teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup chopped onion
- 4 tbsp corn-starch (for coating)
For tossing:
- two cloves garlic, chopped
- 1-inch ginger, chopped
- one medium onion, cut into pieces
- one medium capsicum, cut into pieces
- one red capsicum
- one yellow chilli
- one teaspoon black pepper powder
- Dissolve one tablespoon of corn starch in 1 cup of water.
- one green onion, finely chopped
For Manchurian Sauce:
- one tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- one teaspoon sugar
- 3 tbsp tomato ketchup
- one tablespoon red chili sauce
Let it boil and cook until all the water is absorbed.
Add soya sauce, vinegar, sugar, tomato ketchup, and red chilli sauce in a bowl and mix well.
Take out in a bowl. Cool a little. Add cornstarch and mix well.
Heat oil in a pan. Add soya chunks in oil and fry until lightly coloured, then take out.
For tossing:
Heat a large pan. Add oil, and heat the oil. Add garlic and ginger to it and fry it well.
Add onion, capsicum and fry on high flame till the color changes slightly.
Add sauce mixture, water, black pepper powder.
Mix corn starch in a cup of water and mix until the gravy becomes slightly thick and shiny.
Add fried soya nuggets and mix everything well. Serve garnished with chopped spring onions.
