Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party, held a public meeting in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, on Wednesday. During this event, he reversed his stance on a previous statement and made a significant announcement.

Akhilesh Yadav, who was campaigning for SP candidate Dharmendra Yadav, stated that in the previous phases of the elections, the BJP had fallen behind. With only 27 seats remaining for the elections, the SP leader claimed that the Samajwadi Party and the Congress alliance could win all seats except one. However, he added that it now seems possible that the BJP might lose all 80 seats, depending on the mood of the people.

He also commented on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, stating that when they assess the situation or do calculations, they are not lagging on any seat. He expressed confidence that this time, the people of Purvanchal would eliminate the Bharatiya Janata Party from places like Ambedkarnagar, Sant Kabirnagar, Lalgunj, and Mau. He criticized the Congress and BJP for calling each other princes, stating that this time both "princes" would unite to defeat the BJP, and the people would reject them.
