IPL 2024: Today Will Determine the First Finalist, Clash Between Kolkata-Hyderabad in Qualifier-1

IPL 2024 Qualifier 1: The first qualifier match of IPL 2024 will be played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad. The team winning this match will become the first finalist of the season.

The playoffs of IPL 2024 commence today (May 21, Tuesday). The first match of the playoffs will be played as Qualifier 1 between the teams positioned first and second on the points table, Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad, respectively. The match between Kolkata and Hyderabad will decide the first finalist of the tournament.

Qualifier 1 between Kolkata and Hyderabad will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad from 7:30 PM onwards. The team winning this match will secure a direct ticket to the final, while the losing team will have another chance to make it to the final by playing Qualifier 2.

It is worth noting that Kolkata Knight Riders secured the top spot in the points table by winning the most matches. KKR won 9 out of 14 league matches and lost 3, with two matches remaining inconclusive due to rain. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad, led by Pat Cummins, won 8 out of 14 league matches and lost 5, with one match being inconclusive.

KKR Defeated Hyderabad in the League Match Kolkata Knight Riders played their first league match against Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024, winning by 4 runs. Batting first, KKR posted a total of 208/7 runs on the board in 20 overs. In response, Hyderabad's team reached 204/7 runs in 20 overs. It will now be interesting to see which team dominates in the qualifier match.
